Hey, it's Brian and Rachel here! We're thrilled to be celebrating the 7th anniversary of Goulet Pens today, and thought we'd take this opportunity to share with you some of our personal favorite pens, inks, and other products that we can't live without.

Brian: "The Pilot Custom 74 in Blue was my first gold nibbed pen. I love the way it writes and it's sentimental to me at this point because I wrote many of the earliest Goulet handwritten thank you's with this pen."
Rachel: "The Pilot Vanishing Point Raden is always in my daily carry. The click mechanism makes it super easy for me to take notes as things come up, and there's no cap to lose. I love the broad nib, and the sparkles - oh, the sparkles!"
Brian: "The Lamy 2000 in extra-fine is a workhorse pen for me. I love the snap-cap because it's so easy to just jot down a quick note here and there. It's durable, writes nicely, and has an ink window which I love."
Rachel: "I always have at least one TWSBI 580AL inked up. I have a collection of one in every color that's been released so far, and of course I always have to match my ink to the pen. The broad nib is reliable and writes smoothly. So excited for this newest pink one! It's a great value for $60."
Brian: "The Visconti Homo Sapiens has become my daily carry. It's incredibly durable, nice without being flashy, writes incredibly well, and the hook-safe-lock mechanism on the cap is my favorite aspect of this pen. I fiddle with my pens, and this capping mechanism is perfect for that."
Rachel: "The Lamy Safari in Dark Lilac is really special because I lobbied Lamy for a purple pen for years. I was so happy with how well this special edition turned out, and always keep mine inked up with the matching Dark Lilac ink (yes I hoarded a bottle). Another great value pen especially for someone just starting out."

Pilot Metropolitan Retro Pop Fountain Pen - Turquoise
Brian: "The Pilot Metropolitan is such a solid performer at such a great price, every fountain pen user should have at least one, no matter how long they've been into pens. It writes reliably, is very solid and holds up well, and has some fantastic colors. I keep my Retro Pop Turquoise loaded up with Diamine Marine at my desk at all times."
Brian: "Noodler's Liberty's Elysium is super meaningful to me. I collaborated with Nathan Tardif to design it. It's Goulet Blue (matches our ink splatter logo, by design), themed around liberty (Patrick Henry, whose birthplace is just down the road from me), and is semi-permanent which is hard to find in a blue this shade."
Rachel: "I didn't discover Pilot Iroshizuku Yama-budo until recently and it's my new fave. I love the dark purply-pink color and the shading and sheening that I can get it to do on the right paper. Plus the bottle is super beautiful and a must-have for any desk."
Brian: "Diamine Majestic Blue is shocker, another blue. In case you're wondering, I order the same thing every time I eat at a restaurant too ;) This is a deep blue with a hint of red sheen. It's a pretty unique color, I love it. Dry time is long, it smears, but I don't care. It's beautiful. "
Brian: "I just love the shading in Diamine Marine, and the color is really appealing to me. I have a VERY heavy blue palette in my ink collection and this color is different enough from my royal blues but still hits me in the right spot."
Rachel: Despite how much I love purple and pink, blue has been my steadfast love for years. The color of Diamine Blue Velvet is amazing, a very Goulet blue. It is very vibrant when wet, and dries slightly darker."
