Introducing Montegrappa Game of Thrones Fountain Pens!

The themes of family, honor, treachery, and ambition cut through George R.R. Martin's beloved series, Game of Thrones. Montegrappa captures the essence of the series through a pen collection to represent the most important houses of Westeros in their Game of Thrones fountain pens. The acute attention to detail, both for the fountain pen enthusiast and Game of Thrones fan, makes these pens appealing to both. And if you fall into both categories, like many members of the Goulet Pens Team, then these are incredibly exciting.

All of the fountain pens in the Montegrappa Game of Thrones collection have unique characteristics which we'll go into detail about below. They also have some similarities, like a steel nib that is stamped with a sword motif. In terms of writing experience, the nib offers a generous flow, while still offering a bit of feedback. The single wide thread on both the pen and in the cap ensures that the clip will always line up with the nib and design on the pen. It has a comfortable, gently-sloping grip section. Each pen is rather weighty, and well balanced, although the cap weight varies from pen to pen. When using the pen with the cap posted, the weight of the cap can upset the balance of the pen and make it back heavy, so keep that in mind.

For more details, please be sure to read the technical specs on each product page. Additionally, this review by David from Figboot on Pens is incredibly thorough and offers a lot of great details. If you are considering purchasing one of these stunning pens, we encourage you to take a look!

Montegrappa Game of Thrones Baratheon
House Baratheon is represented by the stately and powerful stag. The death of King Robert Baratheon in the first Game of Thrones book is one of the pivotal points in the story, kicking off the "game of thrones" to begin with! The Montegrappa Game of Thrones Baratheon fountain pen is a courtly charcoal with 18kt yellow gold-plated accents. The cap is full of wonderful details, like a fleur-de-lis pattern, a clip in the shape of the head of a stag, and the Game of Thrones logo at the bottom of the clip. The top of the cap features a finial with a stag and the house motto "Ours is the Fury." As for writing experience, the pen weighs 47g which is fairly average, and is slightly toothy but still a smooth writer.

Montegrappa Game of Thrones Targaryen
Fiery red stands out against the coal-black on the Montegrappa Game of Thrones Targaryen fountain pen. House Targaryen ruled Westeros for three centuries before the rebellion that put Robert Baratheon on the Iron Throne. The house sigil is a three-headed dragon, although the fountain pen only displays one. The dragon represented is appropriately a European-style dragon. You can find it both on the clip and on the finial, where the house's motto, "Fire and Blood," can be found. Accented in bronze, this pen weighs in at 47g overall.
